surrender

.

.

Short article today, just a thought.

I was challenged by a point Richard Green made this week in a staff meeting, about what faith is and what faith isn't.

He said, (and I'm paraphrasing); "Faith isn't positive thinking, or positive action, or psyching yourself into believing that you can do something. No. Faith is surrender. People think 'the good fight of faith' is some battle to believe that what you are doing will succeed. But in reality, the good fight of faith is to constantly surrender yourself to God. And not in a tokenistic way, but in your core being. You need to not just think surrender and give lip service to surrender, but to live a life that is completely surrendered to God".

If you're totally surrendered to God, you will not tire out in all that you do, for his yoke is easy!

If you're totally surrendered to God, you'll be better placed to hear what He's speaking into your life, and to follow His commands.

If you're totally surrendered to God, there is nothing that you cannot do in Him.

Wow. Been mulling this one over for two weeks now and I still haven't gotten to the bottom of it. But there's one thing I know I've gotta do.

SURRENDER!

love dan.
